The Start
For a long time I was living the life I thought we were supposed to. Chasing success in the corporate world. I didn't hate it. I just didn't love it either.
Then I started travelling more. Meeting people living completely differently. My definition of success started to change.
So I made a funny shirt. "Coffee in the streets, espresso martini in the sheets." Why? It made me laugh. Next thing I know I'm making hundreds on a heat press in my kitchen.
But it was never really about the shirts. It's about building the life I actually want and encouraging others to do the same. Humor, silliness, and genuine fun just happens to be my way of doing that.
We've shipped Silly Boys apparel all over the world. Encouraging others to chase the life they want. That still makes me so happy.
The Rules We Live (and Design) By
This brand is for anyone choosing their own version of life. That means being:
Genuinely passionate. Be excited about the things that excite you.
Genuinely yourself. Confident, not cocky. There's nothing better than being exactly who you are.
Genuinely silly. Life is literally so fun. Laugh. Dance. Be silly. It's really not that serious.
The Apparel
Yes, I post a lot of silly content on social media. Sue me. It makes me laugh. It makes a lot of other people laugh. And it brings attention to the brand.
I'm not an influencer. Silly Boys isn't "merch". It's an apparel brand. The clothes are legit and have a purpose. It's hard to wear a shirt that says "Coffee in the streets, espresso martini in the sheets" and not smile. Hard to take yourself too seriously in a hoodie that says Stay Silly across the back. That's not an accident. The whole point is that genuine fun, silliness, and not taking life too seriously is what actually leads you to the life you want.
If you're wondering why there are so many different styles, designs, colors... it's because that's what I like. Sometimes I want to rock a louder design so my shirt is the vibe. Sometimes I just want my shirt to be a shirt. Either way, I like to buy a shirt once. I like when it still fits after washing. I like when it doesn't look like a hand-me-down after a month. So that's what we make. Quality with a personality.
